A County Durham railway station has been found to be older than first thought and is now believed to be the world’s oldest railway station, new research has discovered.
The National Railway Museum has released details of its new permanent exhibition planned for Station Hall, including concept designs for York’s former goods station.
The Severn Valley Railway has confirmed that USATC No 2253 ‘Omaha’ and BR 2MT 2-6-2T No. 41312 will join the line-up of its Autumn Steam Gala next month.
